    Buffalo Cleaning Franchise Expanstion
The Buffalo Business Journal reported on how Anago is targeting the Buffalo market as one of its top expansion areas in 2012. Anago Vice President of Market Judy Walker contributed to the piece, explaining how becoming a master franchisee with Anago is a lucrative business in this stagnant economy, as well as explaining the misconception that Anago masters franchisees are not responsible for the actual cleaning—they’re business-driven individuals who manage clients on cleaning contracts. With the double-digit growth in the Nashville market last year, Walker explained that Anago is looking to replicate this success in the Buffalo market. Please click "Read more" to view full article.

Anago Cleaning Systems has targeted the Buffalo market as one of its top expansion areas and is the first metro area in New York state it has pinpointed.

The privately-held, Pompano Beach, Fla.-based Anago is scouting the Buffalo area for potential franchise rights holders. An Anago franchise right costs $35,000.

The Buffalo area would cover Erie and Niagara counties, said Judy Walker, Anago vice president of marketing.

Anago provides a wide variety of cleaning services, running the gamut from office buildings to movie theaters and car dealerships.

"Cleaning may not be the most glamorous profession, but it can be very lucrative," Walker said.

Anago "master franchise" rights holders work with clients on cleaning contracts.

"You are sitting at a desk, not cleaning one," Walker said. "Every business needs to be cleaned by someone. In that respect, it is totally recession resistant." The cleaning industry, last year, produced revenues that exceeded $100 billion. Anago expanded into such cities as Nashville, where it saw double-digit growth. Anago's staff provides assistance with leasing office space, scoping out the territory, finding a janitorial supplies contractor and negotiating ad contracts. The firm also puts franchise holders through a five-day, on-site training program.

With so many options in New York, why Buffalo?

"It is the perfect size for our entry into New York," Walker said. “Between Erie and Niagara counties there are more than 1 million people and a lot of businesses. Buffalo is the perfect size and perfect model.”
